CAREER NEWS – TERM 2

Ever thought Work Experience was too hard to organise, or just not relevant? Well, we now have a brand-new platform called Virtual Job Experience, where students can have an experience of work in a virtual way - they don't even have to leave the house! Students can find this on our website or come and speak with their campus Career Development Practitioner for more details.

Visitors from the various universities continue to engage with our Senior School students and this term Monash University gave their presentation via ZOOM during the recent lockdown. Swinburne University will present next Friday and then La Trobe University, the University of Melbourne, Victoria University and Federation University in Term 3.

As Parent Teacher Interviews approach, the Career Development Department would like to remind parents that Mrs Rachel Whitworth will be available on Thursday 24th June via ZOOM – please book an appointment with her if you would like to discuss career pathways for your child. She is available from 9:00am until 4:30pm.

We recently had National Careers Week and some useful information was produced for this event. The document Parents as Career Supporters below is a great resource to refer to as you guide your child through their school life and choices for the future.

The Career Development Department is also here to answer your questions via our Ask the Practitioner link – see details in the poster below:
